Local gas stations and convenience stores appear to be newport cigarettes experiencing an uptick in sales over the last couple of weeks as the Oneida Indian Nation’s supply of mainstream brand cigarettes dwindles. But earlier this year Kinley Tshering, then a media consultant in the capital, Thimphu, discussed with friends over drinks the jailing of a Buddhist monk for three years for possessing $3 worth of tobacco, one of the first to be prosecuted under a new law banning public smoking cheap newport cigarettes.
Kuanth counts art and design as his absolute passion.
After toiling for five years in the publishing and advertising industries, Kuanth took a bold step forward to become a freelance illustrator in 2002. He also went on to sew some clothes, make a few dolls, daydream a little (a lot), exhibit some work and raise a lovely boy named Noody (woof!).
Kuanth loves old stuff with a story and flea markets are his favourite treasure-hunting wonderland for gems and inspirations. Kuanth also appreciates all things handmade especially crafts passed on from generation to generation.
With his passion for food, Kuanth opened a homely and quirky cafe called Caramel with a few of his best friends, serving hearty homemade food and offering a selection of handpicked vintage products from his many jaunts. You might see him baking or washing dishes at the cafe when he's not doodling.
Kuanth lives a simple life and he's loving it.

Perfection is boring. Mistakes can be beautiful. Experimental. Mistake by Kuanth, is an expression of thoughts and ideasm branching from unusual places where anything goes. It doesn't conform. It doesn't alienate. It doesn't judge.
