kuanth x A6 /future/ - Charity Auction Party
Creative [SIN]ergy presents A6 /future/, a collaboration between 22 illustrators from both Singapore and the UK
Previews: 21 – 27 September 2009
Charity Auction Party: 26 September 2009, 6pm – 9pm
(For an invitation to the Auction Party, Please RSVP info@creativesinergy.com )
Creative [SIN]ergy presents,
A6 /future/ - a collaboration between 22 illustrators from both Singapore and the UK. Supported by the Singapore International Foundation, The Central Illustration Agency and Tiger Beer. A6 /future/ invites these artists to share their thoughts, hopes and dreams about their future through the use of A6 sized postcards.
Each illustrator will be tasked to pose a question on what he/she feels about the future - express these thoughts through illustrations on half an A6 postcard, before posting them to another illustrator. He/she will then think of a possible answer to complete the template. There will be a mutual exchange of ideas between artists. They are also encouraged to be both imaginative and inspiring in this process.
The completed artworks will be showcased at the Idea Generation Gallery during this year's London Design Festival between 21 - 27 September 2009. The 22 postcards will also be auctioned to raise funds for Envision, a UK registered charity. Come join us for the Charity Auction Party on Saturday 26th September 2009. Please RSVP info@creativesinergy.com for an invitation.

kuanth x Tiger
"If time could standstill,
Let it do so on a high,
A congenial high,
Be high on life,
Soaring above all earthly woes,
Where only the spirited few dwell."
I guess the project is on hold or died off. But I love this piece of work sooooo much.

kuanth x Liquid City-An Anthology of Comics from South-East Asia and Beyond
"LIQUID CITY presents the unique visions of artists and writers based mainly in Southeast Asia," said editor Sonny Liew. "The creators involved range from established figures in the region's comics communities like Lat and Gerry Alanguilan, to exciting new talents like Nguyen Thanh Pong, kenfoo and Shari Chankhamma."
Bringing together creators from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and elsewhere, LIQUID CITY presents an edgy vision of lives in cities past, present and future: from Leong Wan Kok's distinct post apocalyptic landscapes to Lat's charming take on Malaysian life in the '60s, from Mike Carey's meditation on colonialism to kenfoo's dark tales of regurgitation and bodily transformations. Also contributing to the anthology are artists from outside the region, including award-winning illustrator Jon Foster and cover artist Shelly Wan.
